# Bigo FAQ

## Introduction to Bigo Ads Pixel

When your promotion target is a website or landing page, you can track conversion performance by adding a Pixel to your promotion link.

**Pixel:** A code snippet that captures user conversions on your website. Tracked conversions are displayed in the BIGO Ads ad list and data reports, allowing you to measure ad effectiveness.

### Step 1 - Create a Pixel

- Log in to the Bigo Ads dashboard: [https://ads.bigo.sg/login](https://ads.bigo.sg/login). **Go to the Resource Library, select Website Pixel, create a pixel and set the Pixel name;**

### Step 2 - Add the Base Code

- **Add the base code to all pages. The base code should be pasted between the page's `<head>` tags.**

### Step 3 – Install Event Code

**3.1 Choose the Event Code Installation Mode**

You can add event code using either Standard Mode or Developer Mode. The difference is how event rules are configured:

- **Standard Mode:** XPath visual tracking — set event rules directly in the Event Manager;
- **Developer Mode:** Set event rules using code — manually add code to your web pages.

**3.2 Add Events**

It is recommended to add all events involved in the user flow. For example, if you are running an e-commerce page, consider adding events for product detail page views, add to cart, place order, payment completed, etc.

The difference between "Every time" and "Once only" counting methods is whether deduplication is applied. "Once only" is recommended;

**3.3 Set Event Rules (Standard Mode)**

First, select the trigger method for the event. The trigger can be either Page Visit or User Click:

- **Page Visit** — the event is triggered when a user visits a specific product page;
- **User Click** — the event is triggered when a user clicks a specific button or area on a page.

If you select **Page Visit** as the trigger method (as shown):

Enter the link of the page whose visits you want to track:

**Equals:** A specific link

**Contains:** All links sharing the same base URL;

**Does not contain:** Exclude a specific link

If you select **User Click** as the trigger method (as shown):

① Enter the promotion link and click Update;

② Navigate to the page containing the click element you want to track. Click "Select Element" and choose the element that should trigger the corresponding event;

③ When finished, click "Exit Selection" — you have now created a rule for a click event.

④ Finally, click "Done" to complete the Pixel configuration;

**3.3 Place Event Code on the Page (Developer Mode)**

Copy the event code and place it between the `<head>` tags of your landing page. It will fire when the page loads or when a visitor completes an action (e.g., clicking a button).

![](/images/ZoopbKp2goNX8GxjGjMciD8rn4e.webp)

- Open the web page and simulate user behavior to trigger the event code

![](/images/N8DRbXfSEoFVN4xRZDpcrGDMnpC.webp)

- Return to the Pixel detail page and check whether there is data for page visits and click-to-download. If the data matches expectations, the Pixel has been installed successfully;
